At LisMorient, one-on-one coaching is not a premium add-on - it is the only mode of teaching offered. Every session is designed exclusively for the enrolled student, with full mentor attention, a personalised study plan, and the freedom to learn at exactly the right pace.

Mentor Focus Per Session
A classroom teaches to the middle. One-on-one coaching at LisMorient teaches to the individual. The pace of the session, the depth of the explanation, the examples used, the questions practised, and the time spent on any given topic are all determined by one thing - what this particular student needs, right now, in this session.
No student is ever left behind because the group moved forward. No student is ever held back because others need more time. The session adapts in real time - if a concept clicks quickly, the mentor moves on; if something is unclear, the mentor stays until it is genuinely understood, not just noted and moved past.
"The only teaching model that treats every student as the unique individual they actually are - not as one of thirty."

1 Student
1 Mentor
Six dimensions of the learning experience change completely when every session is designed for one student and one student only.
Batch / Group
Determined by the syllabus schedule - every student moves at the same speed regardless of readiness.
One-on-One
Set entirely by the student - chapters move forward only when understanding is confirmed.
Batch / Group
Concepts are introduced and moved on from quickly to cover the syllabus within the term.
One-on-One
Every concept is developed to the depth the student needs - not the depth the schedule allows.
Batch / Group
One teacher, thirty students - attention is divided, questions are limited, gaps are unnoticed.
One-on-One
The mentor's complete attention is on one student for the entire session - no distractions, no division.
Batch / Group
Mistakes in homework are noted in passing - rarely analysed or revisited with specific attention.
One-on-One
Every mistake is caught in the session, analysed for its root cause, and addressed before moving on.
Batch / Group
Students who fear judgement stay silent - confusion is carried forward, compounding over time.
One-on-One
A safe, private environment means students ask every question - nothing is carried forward unresolved.
Batch / Group
The same notes, examples, and exercises are used for all students regardless of their background.
One-on-One
Examples, analogies, and exercises are chosen specifically for what resonates with this student.

Every session follows a five-phase structure - designed to maximise understanding, practice, and retention within the time available.
Every session begins with a brief review of the previous session's content - not as a test, but as an active recall exercise that strengthens long-term memory and surfaces any remaining confusion before new material is introduced.
New concepts are introduced at the student's readiness level - using examples, analogies, and explanations chosen specifically to match how this student thinks and processes information, not a standardised textbook presentation.
Concepts are immediately applied through guided practice - the mentor works alongside the student on problems, offering real-time correction and demonstrating method when needed, before the student attempts work independently.
Once confidence is established, the student works through problems independently while the mentor observes - identifying thinking gaps, speed issues, and method errors that reveal what still needs reinforcement before the session ends.
The session closes with a brief reflection - what was understood well, what still needs work, and what will be practised before the next session. A clear, specific task is always given so momentum continues between sessions.
The format adapts to the student - not the other way around. Six different student profiles, one approach that serves them all.
A student who gets the formula but not the concept behind it - who can solve the example but not a variation. One-on-one coaching addresses the root, not the symptom.
A student whose class has moved on but whose understanding has not - falling quietly behind while appearing to cope.
A student who needs greater depth and stretch than a standard class can offer - bored and disengaged, not because they can't, but because they are not being reached.
A student who would never ask a question in class - who carries confusion forward silently. 1-on-1 creates the environment where every question is not just allowed but invited.
A student in grades 10 or 12 who needs focused, high-intensity preparation across multiple subjects - with no time to waste on material they already know.
A student who is performing well but knows they are capable of more - who wants to push from 80% to 95% with guidance that matches their actual level.
"My son had been in coaching batches for two years and never got the individual attention his specific gaps needed. One month of LisMorient's one-on-one programme addressed more than the entire previous year - because the sessions were for him, not for a generic student."
Rekha Menon
Parent - Grade 10 CBSE
"I used to be afraid to ask questions in my tuition class. At LisMorient there is no class - just me and my mentor. I ask everything. Nothing gets moved past before I understand it. My IGCSE results were the best I have ever produced."
Arjun Pillai
Student - IGCSE Extended
"Three subjects, each with its own mentor, all coordinated. The one-on-one model meant my daughter could go deep in each session without worrying about the pace of others. She scored above 90 in all three board subjects."
Sunita Thomas
Parent - Grade 12 Commerce
"IB Maths at higher level was overwhelming in a class. The one-on-one format at LisMorient let my mentor slow down on exactly the topic I was struggling with - without any pressure to keep up with anyone else. That made all the difference."
Kavya Nair
Student - IB Year 1
"We started one-on-one coaching in Grade 8 as a foundation investment. By Grade 10, our son had such strong conceptual understanding that board year felt like a revision year, not a panic year. The individual pacing built real, lasting understanding."
Deepak Varma
Parent - Grade 8 Science
"Physics in a class of 35 was impossible for me - I never understood how problems were set up. My LisMorient mentor spent as many sessions as I needed on problem-setup before moving to solving. That specific patience changed my relationship with the subject."
Priya Krishnan
Student - CBSE Grade 11 PCM
A free one-on-one diagnostic session is offered to every new student - learning style, current level, and specific gaps are mapped, and a personalised coaching plan is designed at no obligation.
